What time does GTA 6 release?
At midnight local time on 19 November. According to PlayStation Store listings from 63 countries collected by GTA BOOM, the launch rolls out in 15 waves over 19 hours: New Zealand kicks things off at 11am UK time on Wednesday, and Mexico and Central America close the party on Thursday morning.
There's a quirk worth knowing: in countries with several time zones, the store uses a single time for the whole country. That's why the entire US unlocks together at midnight Eastern, so players on the West Coast can start at 9pm on Wednesday 18 November.

Want to be ready at midnight? If you've pre-ordered digitally, you can pre-load it from 12 November, also at local midnight. The physical edition comes with a download code rather than a disc, so you'll need the same free space either way.
It's been a long road, with two delays along the way. And once it finally unlocks, here's how long the story is expected to last.
What about PC? When is GTA 6 coming to PC?
No countdown here: GTA 6 has no announced PC version. It's out on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S only. Almost everyone assumes it will arrive eventually, including Take-Two boss Strauss Zelnick, who told Bloomberg in May that Rockstar always starts on console, and said in September that PC is "becoming more and more important" to the company.
For a sense of scale, here's how long Rockstar's last games took to reach PC:

At that pace, the PC version would land between late 2027 and 2028.
In the meantime, if you own the console you can play from your computer with PS Remote Play (PS5) or the Xbox app for Windows: the game runs on the console and the PC just shows the picture. And steer clear of any site offering GTA 6 PC "requirements" or downloads: they don't exist.
