GTA 6 beers are coming to real life, and Vice City is buying

The GTA 6 beers are going to be real: Pißwasser, Patriot and a new one, No Mames Vice City, already have approved labels in the US federal registry, with the GTA VI logo and brewed by a Miami brewery. Rockstar hasn't said anything yet, but the cans are there. Here's what's in each one, when they were approved and whether you'll ever see them outside the US.

Which GTA 6 beers are actually going on sale?

There are three, and two of them will ring a bell if you've played GTA IV or GTA V:

  • Pißwasser Pils. The series' "German" beer, with its classic tagline: "You're in, for a good time". A 12 oz can at 4.2% ABV, according to the label.
  • Patriot Beer. Rockstar's most American brew, with flag, stars and the slogan "Never refuse a Patriot". Also 4.2% and a 12 oz can.
  • No Mames Vice City. The new one: a 6% lager in a pint can, featuring a chihuahua in pink sunglasses and a Vice City gold chain in front of a palm-tree sunset. The name, by the way, is a Mexican expression you don't say in front of your grandparents.

All three carry the GTA VI logo and the branding of Tripping Animals Brewing, a brewery in Doral, right next to Miami. The brewery's address is printed on the cans themselves.

Where did the labels show up?

In the public database of the US government's Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB). Every alcoholic drink label has to go through it before it can be sold in the country, so anyone can look them up. They were spotted by the site iGrandTheftAuto and picked up by Dexerto, with these approval dates:

Has Rockstar confirmed it?

No. Neither Rockstar nor Tripping Animals has said a word yet, and there's no telling when the cans would arrive, how much they'd cost or whether they'd be sold across the US or only in Florida.

The timing fits everything else. Rockstar has spent weeks bringing Vice City onto the streets: in-game cars, a blimp and banner planes over Miami, the Miami Heat's Vice City night and the official clothing collection. A beer brewed in Miami to toast Leonida is pretty much the next logical step.

Where do Pißwasser and Patriot come from?

Pißwasser debuted in GTA IV and has been in every HD-universe GTA since. It's Rockstar's Budweiser parody, and the joke is right there in the name: piss water. Patriot is its flag-waving cousin, the bar-counter beer with stars and stripes included.

And Patriot already has its moment in GTA 6. In the second trailer, Jason walks out of a store with a six-pack of Patriot bottles in his hand. Now it turns out that same beer could land in Florida fridges before the game itself lands on consoles.

Will you be able to buy them outside the US?

For now there's nothing to suggest it. Tripping Animals is a local Florida brewery, and the labels are registered for the US market. If Rockstar announces them and they reach other countries, we'll let you know. In the meantime, anyone after something physical from GTA 6 has the Collector's Edition and the official clothing.
