Bad Bunny, Lana Del Rey and Slayer are the new DJs of GTA 6

Rockstar has revealed the first six radio stations in GTA 6, and the DJs are genuine stars: Bad Bunny hosts the Latin station, Lana Del Rey and Morgan Wallen the country one, and two members of Slayer the metal one. There are 18 confirmed songs, the return of Flash FM more than two decades after Vice City, and something the series has never had before: podcasts you can listen to on foot, with headphones. Here is every station, what it plays, who hosts it and how to hear it right now.

Rockstar announced them on 8 October on its Newswire, with the hosts listed under their in-game DJ names. Rolling Stone and Billboard then revealed who is behind each voice:

Station by station: who hosts it and what it plays

Cocoteo FM, Bad Bunny's reggaeton

Leonida's home of modern Latin music. It is hosted by El Martillo and La Gata, who are Bad Bunny and RaiNao, two Puerto Rican artists. And one of the confirmed songs is by Bad Bunny himself.

Back Country Radio, Lana Del Rey and Morgan Wallen's country

«Renegade» country with MW (Morgan Wallen) and Delta Dawne (Lana Del Rey). It also has a character of its own: Mud Dog Mike, a roving reporter who calls in with live updates. He is voiced by Jeremy Dufrene, Lana Del Rey's husband, who in real life is an airboat captain in Louisiana.

The singer told Rolling Stone why it means so much to her: the first time some of her family arrived in Los Angeles, they already knew the roads from playing GTA.

AfroBank FM, Burna Boy's African music

Burna and Palmsy, that is, Grammy-winning Nigerian star Burna Boy and DJ and producer Palms Trax. Rockstar promises a bit of everything: 20th-century African classics, undiscovered gems and current sounds such as amapiano and 3-step.

The Chamber 106.6, Slayer's metal

Classic and modern metal. Behind DJ Kerry and DJ Tom are Kerry King and Tom Araya, Slayer's guitarist and singer, one of the founding bands of thrash metal. And the three songs in the preview are three classics:

Flash FM, the pop station back from Vice City

It is the only station with history: Flash FM was already the pop station in GTA: Vice City in 2002. Now it is hosted by Swedish singer Robyn and model Alex Consani, with pop and easy-listening hits.

Dirty South Classics, Miami rap

Trick Daddy and Trina, two Miami rap legends, present classics of Southern hip-hop. It is the most «local» station: nobody represents Leonida, the game's Florida, quite like them.

How many radio stations will GTA 6 have?

Far more than six. Rockstar presents these as «six of the stations» in the game and says there will also be classic rock, modern hip-hop, dance, '80s music, electronic, blues, ballads and talk radio. According to the studio, it is the biggest and widest-ranging radio selection in the series.

The big new feature: podcasts and headphones

For the first time in the series, Jason and Lucia can listen to on-demand podcasts as well as the radio. And not just in the car: both the radio and the podcasts can be heard on foot too, with headphones connected to their phones. In GTA V, getting out of the car meant losing the music, so the change will be felt on every walk through Vice City.

How to listen to the GTA 6 radio stations now

The music section of the official website has a preview of about two minutes for each station, with the hosts and the three songs. You can also listen to the singles from GTA VI: The Album there, the official record with 34 original tracks released the same day as the game, featuring names such as Travis Scott, Rauw Alejandro, Morgan Wallen, Cardi B and Keith Richards.
